With my hands-on laboratory experience, I have a strong foundation in following standard operating procedures. My background as a proposal and grant writer, combined with my doctorate and experience in curriculum writing, highlights my expertise in technical writing. Years of experience as an instructor have honed my ability to collaborate effectively and craft compelling narratives that enhance learner engagement. A dedicated team player, I am eager to contribute to a workplace culture that fosters innovation and elevates its members.
I specialize in designing scenario-based eLearning that transforms complex concepts into engaging, memorable experiences. By breaking down challenges into digestible components, I make learning intuitive, so it sticks. Thriving in fast-paced environments, I bring a natural curiosity for exploration, discovery, and continuous questioning to seek out solutions. As someone who loves to continue learning, I excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop lasting solutions. I embrace challenges and quickly adapt to new platforms, always driven by the question: What’s the best solution to this problem?

This badge is the culmination of a 9-month program called Applied Instructional Design Academy. It is earned after completing the ID Fundamentals, Rise, Storyline, eLearning Development, and Instructional Design Process badges. Earners complete 400+ lessons, receive extensive coaching, and complete a rigorous set of learning activities with practice, feedback, multiple revisions, and the completion of simulated client projects. Earners create a portfolio that must pass certain criteria.
Following the industry-standard A.D.D.I.E. model, my process begins by analyzing the needs of company learners in relation to the identified problem. During the kickoff meeting, all stakeholders collaborate to define learning goals and target outcomes. Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) work with me to establish communication methods and set a project timeline that works best for them and the company.
Next, I conduct a thorough needs analysis, which may involve stakeholder interviews, company data analysis, projected trends, and on-the-job observations. Based on this analysis, I develop a high level design document that outlines the key problem and proposed solution features. SMEs and stakeholders review this document, providing feedback to optimize the workflow and ensure alignment with company objectives and goals for the training outcome.
If eLearning is the chosen solution, a high level design document followed by a low level storyboard is created during the design phase, with iterative feedback from SMEs and stakeholders to confirm alignment with learning objectives. The storyboard is then developed into the selected eLearning software, with alpha and beta versions reviewed before finalizing the gold release.
Once the Gold version is implemented, learner data is collected from the LMS or server where it is housed, analyzed for completion rates, and assessed for effectiveness, ensuring the training meets company goals.
A comprehensive evaluation using Kirkpatrick’s Model will progress through Levels 2, 3, and 4. Level 2 will analyze quantifiable eLearning data, including knowledge check results and performance-based scenario assessments. Level 3 will determine whether meaningful behavioral changes have occurred in the learners. This can be completed through examining stakeholder feedback, job performance observations, work products, and other measurable indicators of employee behavior improvements. Finally, Level 4 will assess the broader impact of the training by evaluating key business outcomes such as employee retention, sales performance, and cost-benefit analysis, providing a holistic measure of the trainings’ effectiveness.
